Note to Job Seekers - email address tip
Published February 23rd, 2004 in get a job, leadership + management, sales and sellingIf you’re applying to a job, please keep the email account you’re using to collect responses to your application clean, so you can receive emails from the hiring manager. The fact that I got this message twice from the same candidate’s two different yahoo accounts listed in their resume just took that candidate off my list:
Your message was rejected by mx2.mail.yahoo.com for the following reason:
delivery error: dd Sorry, your message to xxx@yahoo.com cannot be delivered. This account is over quota. - mta118.mail.sc5.yahoo.com
Keep your email account cleaned out when applying for a job.

My tip would be to not use a free email account when applying for a job. For the few bucks a month it costs to have a “proper” address it’s well worth it.
